Description |
According to the National Historic Landmark Nomination, the Mabel McDowell Elementary School is a complex made up of five separate one-story buildings that are linked by landscaped courtyards and covered and trellised walkways. The building, designed by architect John Carl Warnecke, was constructed in 1960. This view looks northwest with McKinley Avenue near the bottom. Houses shown are 281 North Hughes Street, 2811 McKinley Avenue, and 2851 McKinley Avenue. |
