Description |
Photograph of the Pastels band on stage, possibly at the Columbia Club. Band member John Rasor said that the group formed in 1960. Many had played together since about 1946 after World War II service and during college at Butler University and Purdue University. They played big band music and had earlier played at Terrace Gardens, the Riviera, and many clubs in Indianapolis. Each music stand had a black light that made the multi-colored letters glow. |
