View of Dayton, Indiana, circa 1880 |
Catalog Number |

Description |
The two-story brick building with a tower in the distance is probably the Dayton School, located on the northwest corner of Conjunction and Jefferson (now College) Streets. It was known locally as "the Tower School." If so, then houses on Main Street are in the foreground. The building at the far right edge is believed to be the Universalist Church at the NW corner of Main and Conjunction Streets. |
