Description View looking south on Alabama Street toward a Columbus Day float on Massachusetts Avenue and Vermont Street. The image was taken from the front steps of the Wilmer F. Christian house at 404 North Alabama Street. The two-story store behind the float was the S. H. (Samuel H.) Socwell grocery at 371 Massachusetts Avenue (then it was 99 Massachusetts Avenue).
