Description |
The Civilian Conservation Corps of Princeton was established on July 16, 1935 on a farm one mile east of Princeton on Lake Road. The CCC enrolled 250 men primarily focused on soil erosion eradication. Known as the Soil Erosion Camp, its primary goal was to restore all the deteriorated farmland in Gibson County back to productive fields.
