Description |
The young boy poses in a wallpapered room with rugs on the floor. Behind him is a framed crayon enlargement portrait of him on an easel. On the floor is a pillow and a print of "Pharaoh's Horses," based on a 1848 painting by artist John Fredrick Herring, Sr. Family members state that this is probably David Gaskill (1910-1980), son of Samuel and Rosa (Dolby) Gaskill. He lived with his aunt Ella (Dolby) Daihl and her husband George Edgar Daihl for a while. |
