Description |
A dresser with an attached mirror rests against a door. A calendar hangs on another door next to the dresser. Photos, including one of the Roman Colosseum, and portraits hang on the wall above the radiator. Ties hang on a rack next to the radiator. More ties hang from a string attached to the top of another mirror with military hats hanging from the sides. A pennant with "Terre Haute" printed on it is visible in the reflection on the mirror. The other side of the room shown in the reflection is photographed in ia-0001-c048-0008.A rocking chair sits on the floor near the radiator. Most likely the same room pictured in ia-0001-c048-0001, ia-0001-c048-0004, ia-0001-c048-0008, and ia-0001-c048-0009 as the wallpaper is the same. It is possibly a rooming house or a fraternity instead of a dormitory. |

Collection photographed by Glenn Mount Nelson (1892-1966) of Crawfordsville. He attended Purdue University in 1913-1914. Nelson served in WWI from July 1918 to June 1919. He married Fern Minnie McDaniel (1897-1991) on September 25, 1919 in Montgomery County. |
