Description |
Frank Buckley opened a roadside stand named the Cumberland Barbecue on the National Road (U.S. 40) in about 1922. He replaced it with this modern structure in 1940 and changed the name to Buckley's Restaurant. It offered curbside service and was open 24 hours a day. Buckley's closed in about 1970 when the newly completed I-70 reduced business. |
