    The Aveline Hotel on Calhoun and Berry Streets (102-108 E. Berry Street) in Fort Wayne, Indiana was the most elegant hotel in the city in the early 1900s. On May 3, 1908 around 3:30am, fire broke out near the first floor elevator shaft. The fire, caused by faulty wiring, quickly spread through the building.
