The woman is probably Mahuldah (Douglass) Moore (1821-1906), wife of John Moore, who was about age 75 at the time this portrait was taken in the 1890s. In 1900 she was a widow listed as a farmer in Jackson Township, Clinton County, Indiana. She was the grandmother of John Mercer "Mack" McKinsey.
