Description |
A young man wearing a ribbon poses with a rolled diploma, pocket watch, and many floral arrangements. The flowers are arranged outside the door or a house. Newspapers and family trees indicate that J. Byron Boyd (1880-1940) was one of seven students to graduate from Mitchell High School in 1898. The commencement was held on May 24, 1898. Boyd, who was often on the honor roll, presented an oration title "What war means." His family lived on Mississippi Street in Mitchell in the 1900 census. |
