From a series of photographs by Norris J. Starkey depicting musicians, performers, and female impersonators in Duffy's Tavern, owned by Robert W. and Ruth A. (Banister) McDuff from about 1949 until 1953. Newspapers indicate that the bar closed in August 1953 for liquor law violations. |
