Description |
McGuire and Shook, architects from Indianapolis, designed this mid-century modern addition to the Belle Gregg Elementary School. In May of 1955, the Rushville School Board passed a resolution to build an attached addition to the school. A Rushville Republican article noted that the $200, 000 structure was the first new school construction in the city in 42 years. The addition housed two self-contained classrooms each with its own toilet, sink, and water fountain along with administrative offices, a boiler room, a custodian's room, and a multipurpose room with a stage. |
