Description |
Portrait of architect and businessman Fermor Spencer Cannon of Indianapolis. He was the architect for Butler (later Hinkle) Fieldhouse at Butler University, as well as other buildings in Indianapolis (incuding the sun porch at Tuckaway House). He inscribed the photo to Nellie Simmons Meier, the aunt of his second wife, Ruth (McGinnis) Peaslee Cannon. It reads, "To Aunt Nellie, a guiding and inspiring friend. Fermor Spencer Cannon, 1934." |
